What is Yoga Nidra Meditation? 
“Yoga Nidra is an ancient sleep-based meditation technique that has the power to take you to the innermost, deepest levels of relaxation where your whole body and being is permeated by peace of mind and profound stillness. It unlocks the mystical, integrative powers of the subconscious, as well as your higher centers of consciousness, to effortlessly erase your most tenacious, self-destructive habits and behavior patterns. It is said by yogis that 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra is as restorative as three hours of sleep.”

What to expect during Yoga Nidra
Upon arrival, you will get cozy on your mat – bolsters, eye pillows, blankets – everything you may want to keep your body supported and comfortable are available at the studio. Once your body is still and ready, Laura Anne will gently guide you through a meditation that takes you into a sleep-like state while you remain awake.

Reflection on Yoga Nidra from a Participant:

I am amazed at how effective it was. How in control she was – I floated down into the place Laura Anne described so easily and with such gentleness. I had no idea what to expect, but when she chanted the Sanskrit words I awoke in a way I didn’t know I could. It was like…I’d thought I was still water all along, but she opened the cap and I felt myself sparkle – bubbles rising to the surface of my body and popping in a tingly, static-noise way. I watched this with a detached awe.

I hold the Yoga Nidra experience very close to my heart and trust that there will be more. I feel this is a direction for my growth, and I am excited to go deeper here. Thank you for opening this path.
