Lakshmi Chanting

Drop in – Tuesdays 9-9:30 pm. All are welcome. No prior chanting or meditation experience is necessary.

In this meditation we open ourselves to the Energy of Sustenance or the Sustaining Energy. We take time to center ourselves and set our intention, and we chant OM Shreem Maha Lakshmiye Namaha (OM and salutations to the Great Goddess Lakshmi) out loud and silently for about 25 minutes. We end with a couple minutes verbal chanting. We end chanting prayers for the peace and happiness of all beings.

The group meditation is very powerful and effective, and people who regularly (and some who only occasionally) participate have experienced some kind of material or spiritual blessing that they attribute to this practice.
